i don't even want to discuss the floppy man boobs that are created by this shirt + my bralette combo. i've gotten to the point where i really need to wear a real bra. but i effin HATE real bras. so i just still choose to wear my soft comfy stretchy bralettes. only yesterday when i was taking off my bralette to put my PJs on, i gasped as i realized the strap had literally snapped under the pressure of my ever-growing jugs. JJ laughed. i'm devastated. i don't want a real bra. i don't!
this weekend was just the BEST. Rah, Sand, Min and i had a blast! they treated me like
the Queen that i am a Queen and JF like a little Prince/Princess. everything was a surprise including the lovely stay in the historic Camlin Hotel downtown, a matinee movie, a fabulous blowout at Swink and a baby essentials gift basket to. die. for. (including but not definitely not limited to: bottles, a baby food maker, the twilight turtle and nipple shields) and Min found the perfect vintage inspired baby book, a hilarious "give peas a chance" bib and got a spa gift certificate for Big Mama Herself! yes! so nice to be pampered by these wonderful friends...our girls' weekends always consist of a celebration of sorts, and it was so fun to be the guest of honor--i'm so lucky! (Sand chronicled the weekend with anecdotes and pictures on her blog HERE)
meanwhile...JJ went to the Home Depot in my absence and purchased a lawn mower and cut all the grass and weeded the yard and swept the front walk (!!!) he was Mr. Man of the House while i was away and our yard looks amazing. it's funny how living in a house can make a person really prideful of landscaping. JJ stood outside with a puffed up chest, chin up, hands on hips and gave a satisfied nod when he finished the last of his work yesterday afternoon. i sat outside smiling at the dandelion-free backyard, and Cleo pranced around on the freshly chopped grass (which turned her little feet green). all three of us are beyond joyful at the transformation. yesterday afternoon our pals LJ , her husband C and KKiss came over to enjoy the backyard as well. we sat outside chatting, soaking up the sun and listening to Cleo barking at the neighbor's chickens. what a wonderful sunday! we ended the weekend with a handsomely home-cooked meal, a King's hockey game aaaaaaannnnnnd fleas on Cleo. dammit.
