  1. Re: the washing machine. You can get something to clean it at Target. I think Tide makes it.

Look for #24 if you want a better (cheaper) solution to the baby spit up.
Cleaning portion talks about all sorts of stuff. I bet you could play around w/ info on that... combined with this exerpt.. "Over time, your bath towels will build up detergent and fabric softener residue, leaving them both unable to absorb as much water and smelling kinda funky when they do. Run them through the wash once with hot water and a cup of vinegar, then again with hot water and a half-cup of baking soda, as wikiHow suggests. That strips the residue from them, leaves them smelling fairly fresh again."

  3. (I wish I would finish a thought before posting shit) I bet you could play around with the baking soda/vinegar pointers and clean that washing machine right up.

  4. If you have a front load washer,it should have a "clean" cycle that you can just add some bleach and run it. Also, if you haven't already, wipe out the rubber ring in the front where the door closes. You'd be surprised what collects in there - YUCK. And after every load, leave the door and the soap tray open.

Yeah after you get that washer all cleaned out (whether you use that Tide stuff or whatever home remedy you make) make sure that you ALWAYS leave it open. It will make a HUGE difference.

  8. Any grocery store sells something called afresh that you run through the washer every 3 months-ish to keep it clean and smelling good.

  10. Washing machine: If you use liquid fabric softener, that's why it stinks. it leaves a film that's like tar and it's rank! switch to the dryer sheets.
