what's on L's phone?!

we babysat little Isla the other day. it was too much fun! also, note Gemsie being a drama queen, per usual.

these two ladies both have the pear ruffle butt bloomers from the Gap. Sandi and i both got them when they were on final clearance for $2! look at those little booties. too cute.

facetiming with Lola.

i joined a second book club and this is where the meeting was--I MEAN OMG. look at that view!

we had a middle-of-the-day bath because somebody took off her poopy diaper and tossed it about the room while she was supposed to be napping.

so emo while sipping her water.

Mel and i took a road trip with the babies to Yakima! she went to her friend's house and Gem and i spent the day with my parents. it was so fun! and these littles were troopers.

naked blackberry picking and eating.

Bear came to town to help install our new blinds (DAMN YOU CLEO) and refinish our deck. Gemstone was thrilled to take a pretend drive in his car.

my posse.

playing hockey with a graham cracker in her mouth.

playing piano.
(my parents bought her this backpack for her birthday and she has little farm stuffed animals in it. she refuses to take it off and walks around the house chanting "bockbock" all day hahha).

looking too much like a grown up.

prepared for fall in Seattle! warm boots and a swimsuit. you just never know what to expect.

for Mel's birthday a bunch of gals took a sewing class and made tote bags. it was totes fun! (so sorry for the stupid pun).

installing the childproof locks on the cabinets (which is one GIANT pain in the ass by the way). while doing so, Gemsie Bear was playing with the screwdriver and all of the things that the locks are supposed to keep her away from. aye yi yi. also, we bought those magnetic ones. and they're great. except yesterday i accidentally locked the only magic magnetic key inside of the cabinet. #omgidiot. if you get these cabinet locks, you should probably buy 8 magic keys.

the lady at PetSmart who cuts Cleo's toenails matched their bows.

i adore beach treasures. i have them all around our house.

Gemmaberry! not sure why i have a mullet in this pic.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!

out to Brunch at Trellis in Kirkland.

we put Gemma in her birthday dress since Grandma and Grandpa couldn't make it to her party. i kind of want her to wear this dress everyday until it doesn't fit anymore. it's the sweetest little dress.

love for Cleo too.

after Grandma and Grandpa left, we headed over to Safeco field to meet Nannie & Bear and my sisters to celebrate sister M's bday. and BEHOLD! my best ever photobomb.

beach day with momfriends.

when Gemma hits/bites/kicks/pinches/slaps/etc., she has to have a time out on the Naughty Mat. she spends about 30 seconds sitting there being embarrassed, then stands up and gives a hug to her victim.

our Wednesday favorites! love these girls.

  1. Where did you take the sewing class? What a fun party idea!

    1. Drygoods in Ballard! It was so fun
